Chuck Harmon, Pastor

Chuck Harmon began serving Rocky Face Baptist Church as pastor in June of 2019. However, he is not unfamiliar to our congregation, having attended RFBC as a boy and teenager. He considers it a great honor and privilege to serve as pastor in his home church and to be preaching from the same pulpit as his childhood pastor and Hero in the Faith, Pastor Erwin Crider.

Chuck was born and raised in the Rocky Face community and has a great burden for the people of this community to come to know Jesus.  He was saved at the age of 22 and answered the call to preach at age 25, although he knew, even as a boy at RFBC, that God had placed a call on his life.  He has been a residential contractor for 30 years and has operated Chuck Harmon Farm for 14 years. Most recently, he was pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church in Rocky Face for 13 years.

In his free time, he enjoys fishing and hunting. Chuck is married to Melinda, who serves as worship leader at RFBC. Chuck and Melinda are the proud parents of two adult children: Grace Pierce (Austin) and Ward Harmon and the proud grandparents of Jorja and Jude.

Melinda Harmon, Worship Leader

Melinda Harmon began serving Rocky Face Baptist Church as worship leader in June of 2019. She has been involved in church music most of her life, serving in children, youth, and adult choirs.  As well as serving as choir director/worship leader and church musician.  Most recently, she served at Fellowship Baptist Church in Rocky Face as choir director/worship leader for 13 years.

Melinda grew up in Whitfield County, and because she was a pastor's daughter and then pastor's wife, she has served in many area churches. She accepted Jesus as Savior at the age of 8 years old, and she considers it a privilege to serve alongside her husband at RFBC. She is also the preschool music teacher at CLC of First Baptist Church in Dalton.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family. Melinda and Pastor Chuck have been married since 1985 and have two adult children: Grace Pierce (Austin) and Ward Harmon and two grandchildren: Jorja and Jude.
